A lovely transformation when my stenciled jersey is backed with a second layer and quilted.

It is really beautiful, Anna.

Where did you find the mylar for the stencilling? I'm curious to know because it seems like that would be hard to find!

Hobby Lobby, with the pre-cut stencils.

I am impressed. I've never heard of Alabama Studio Style, I was surprised to see that they sell kits for 100s of dollars -- I wonder how much you think you will spend on this project (ballpark)?

The backing and quilting gives the fabric such lovely body. I can't wait to see your finished piece.

Amy: $2 for the tee shirt, $2 for jersey to back, $4 for paint, $1 for stencil Mylar, $2 for thread. Under $12.00.

The kits are expensive, the clothes are exorbitant (all those hours of hand-stitching), but what generosity of spirit for the designer to share with the world exactly how to create these things on our own. I admire!

Do let us know how this all washes up.
