"No Box"

"There is no box labeled TIME FOR GRIEF or TIME FOR A DEATH which gives protection against all the responsibilities of life. Life goes on, and the days right now are important . . . It isn't necessary to waste them."

--Edith Schaeffer, What Is a Family?

Fitting words, I'm sure. I find myself wanting to rush the days away when we fall ill, or having to deal with the hard things in life. But it is true, these are all part of our lives that we should accept and give our attention to.
I know you are such a blessing to your Mother and Grandmother right now.
I will continue to pray for healing, strength for the jobs at hand, rest and comfort for you all.
Blessings,
Karen

We're dealing with the same and Edith's wisdom has never failed to instruct and comfort. Thank you.

have you read The Tapestry? It is not as well known as the Schaeffer's other works, but far and away my favorite.

Thank you for that quote...during a recent time of tragedy in my own life, I was both comforted and challenged by the fact that life did indeed go on, and that I needed to both grieve and live simultaneously. I think I need to find that book and read it! From, Amy in Southern CA
